Dr Agnieszka Mikos-Sitek
Doctor of Law, graduated with a master’s degree (1999) and completed doctoral studies (2005) at the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. Since 2003 affiliated with the Faculty of Law and Administration of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw, initially as a collaborator and since 2006 as an assistant professor in the Department of Financial Law. Since October 2020, head of the Law program.
Her research focuses primarily on banking law, central banking, budget law (particularly public finance management of the state and local government units), and healthcare financing. Author of numerous publications in these fields. From 2001 to 2003, editor of the legal fortnightly Monitor Prawniczy. From 2003 to 2011, editor and later publisher at the Legal Literature Department of C.H. Beck Publishing House. She served as the lead editor of the System Prawa Prywatnego (Private Law System) series, supervised by Prof. Zbigniew Radwański and published in cooperation with the Institute of Legal Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences. From 2006 to 2011, editor of the quarterly Studia Prawa Prywatnego and a member of its Editorial Board until 2021.
