Dr Jerzy Słyk
Assistant professor at the Institute of Justice and the Faculty of Law and Administration at Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw, attorney at law. Graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw. In 2010, he defended his doctoral dissertation entitled “Civil liability of parents for damage caused by their child and the manner and scope of exercising parental authority.” Co-author of the commentary on the Family and Guardianship Code and author of publications in family, civil, and medical law.
Employed at the Institute of Justice since 2011. From 2013 to 2018, deputy chair of the Bioethics Committee at the Institute – Memorial of the Children’s Health Center. Chair and member of expert teams at the Ministry of Justice. Member of the Family Law Codification Commission at the Ombudsman for Children. Lecturer at the National School of Judiciary and Public Prosecution. Secretary of the editorial board for the civil law issues of the journal Prawo w Działaniu (“Law in Action”). Member of the editorial team of the journal Metryka.
Married, father of one daughter.
