Marcin Romanowski appointed a Deputy Minister of Justice
On 4 June 2019, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki approved Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro’s request and appointed Marcin Romanowski, Head of the Institute of Justice, as an Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Justice. Marcin Romanowski will be responsible for the cybersecurity of the justice system and the implementation of new technologies in the area of justice.

International Scientific Conference “Law, Economy and Technology for the Prevention of the Causes of Crime”
On 7 December 2018, the international scientific conference “Law, economy and technology for the prevention of the causes of crime” was organized by the Institute of Justice. The event was held under the honorary patronage of Zbigniew Ziobro, the Minister of Justice, who officially inaugurated the event. The conference was devoted both to the issues encountered during the implementation of the research project and its results to date.
Konkurs im. prof. Lecha Morawskiego rozstrzygnięty
Rozstrzygnięty został Konkurs im. prof. Lecha Morawskiego na najlepszą pracę magisterską. Komisja konkursowa I. nagrodą wyróżniła Kajetana Rajskiego z Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego za pracę “Aspekty prawne przekazania władzy i funkcjonowania urzędu Prezydenta RP na uchodźstwie w 1939 r.” II. nagrodę otrzymała Justyna Świerczek z KUL na pracę “Zasada ochrony zaufania obywateli do państwa i do stanowionego przez nie prawa jako dyrektywa poprawnej legislacji”.
Heading into the future Scientific Workshop
On December 4-6, 2018, The Institute of Justice organized Heading into the future workshops , taking place as part of the “Law, economy and technology for preventing the causes of crime” project. The project implements assumptions related to the implementation of the latest legal and organizational solutions in the field of crime prevention.
Spotkanie z min. Łukaszem Piebiakiem, Podsekretarzem Stanu w Ministerstwie Sprawiedliwości
W sobotę 17 listopada 2018 roku podczas I zjazdu kolejnych edycji Pracowni Liderów Prawa gościliśmy Podsekretarza Stanu w Ministerstwie Sprawiedliwości Pana Łukasza Piebiaka. Min. Łukasz Piebiak jest absolwentem studiów prawniczych na Wydziale Prawa i Administracji Uniwersytetu Marii Curie-Skłodowskiej w Lublinie. W latach 2009-2010 pracował w zespole ekspertów ds. reformy wymiaru sprawiedliwości powołanym przez Rzecznika Praw Obywatelskich. Od 2011 r. stały współpracownik Banku Światowego przy przygotowywaniu raportów Doing Business w kategoriach Enforcing Contracts oraz Resolving Insolvency.
