Municipality of Swidnica – support group for young people
2023-07-06
The support group for young people is one of the cyclical forms of support implemented within the Center for Families, at the premises of the Municipal Social Welfare Center in Swidnica, in connection with the implementation of the project “Swidnica against violence” under the “Justice” Program, financed from Norwegian and national funds.
The group’s members are young people aged 13-15. Meetings are conducted by two experienced therapists, in an atmosphere of safety and trust, under rules mutually agreed upon with the group. All meetings of the group last 3 hours each and are held once a month.
During the meetings of the youth support group, issues are addressed that allow young people to develop communication skills, learn to build relationships with others, recognize and deal with emotions, get help in taking on life roles, build self-confidence and self-esteem. The classes are aimed at young people in Swidnik’s educational institutions who require support in building safe relationships, non-violent relationships.
