International Scientific Conference “Integrated domestic violence prevention system”

We cordially invite you to participate in the International Scientific Conference entitled “Integrated domestic violence prevention system”, which will take place on July 7, 2022 at the seat of the Institute of Justice, located at Krakowskie Przedemieście 25 in Warsaw. The event will be organized as part of an international research project entitled “The Integrated System of Prevention of Domestic Violence”, led by the Institute of Justice with the participation of the Norwegian Project Oartner – University of Stavanger, within the framework of the “Justice” Program financed by Norway Grants and national funds.

The conference will be aimed at increasing public awareness of the phenomenon of domestic violence, as well as informing the public about the above-mentioned a project implemented in Polish-Norwegian cooperation in the field of preventing domestic violence in the family, as well as disseminating information about the “Justice” Program, its progress and achievements in its implementation. The aim of the project is to provide protection to the family by implementing an integrated domestic violence prevention system. The project provides for the creation of a domestic violence prevention model, its testing, and then implementation and implementation. In recent years, the phenomenon of domestic violence has increased in most European countries, therefore the aim of the project is to find comprehensive solutions to the problem of domestic violence. It is pointed out that the best way to solve this problem is to prevent, not just react to the effects of violence. Consequently, it is important to increase vigilance not only when families are in imminent danger of domestic violence, but when they are not yet experiencing it. The idea of the project is to undertake preventive actions which, in order to be effective, must be implemented as system solutions. In this context, we understand them as the organization of activities at the local level that will provide comprehensive help and support to families at risk of domestic violence. Therefore, the key element of the project is the development of a system of integrated solutions in the field of domestic violence prevention, which could be implemented after the test phase in selected municipalities.
