Scholarship of the Central European Academy – Master in Internationaland Comparative Children’s Rights (LL.M)

The International and Comparative Children’s Rights LL.M.Programme aims to provide a complex and interdisciplinaryknowledge of children’s rights and an approach that enables theparticipating lawyers to carry out their theoretical or practical workwith a deep and real understanding of children’s rights, regardlessof their professional background. The training curriculum includesbasics of social and personality development as well as child-friendly communication skills which may help to develope a trulychild-sensitive, child rights-based approach.
In addition, theprogramme provides a detailed and in-depth knowledge of theuniversal and regional international legal background on children’srights and presents the full regulatory background for children, bothfrom the field of public and private law, through a Central Europeancomparative law perspective (see attached poster for details of the programme).
An ICCR LL.M Scholarship in the amount of 600.000 HUF is available for a limited amount of applicants who undertake to be present in Budapest during a whole 3-4-day-long on-site education programme per semester, and on the final exams.
From the amount of the 600.000 HUF, 250.000 HUF is the tuition fee, which will be transferred directly to the University of Miskolc after a successful application and registration.
The remaining part of the scholarship in the amount of 350.000 HUF is addressed to cover travel and accomodation expenses. From which 200.000 HUF will be transferred to the applicants bank account in advance (31 October 2023 the latest), and 150.000 HUF will be transferred no longer than 15 days after successfully completing the 3-4-day-long on-site education programme in Budapest.
The ICCR LL.M. Scholarship also includes the educational materials free of charge.

- Master of Laws degree
- Curriculum Vitae
- Motivation letter which containes professional experience and plans in the field of children’s rights
- Proof of English knowledge (preferably B2)
Holding a PhD. degree, participation in an ongoing PhD. programme, practical experience in the field of children’s rigths, outstanding knowledge of English or the knowledge of additional languages, Central European affiliation will be considered an advantage.
