The finals of the 1st edition of the Law and Justice Knowledge Contest
On March 30, 2021, the finals of the 1st edition of the Law and Justice Knowledge Contest took place. The event, organized by the Institute of Justice and the Ministry of Justice, was held under the patronage of the rector of the University of Justice in Warsaw (Szkoła Wyższa Wymiaru Sprawiedliwości). The contest was aimed at secondary school students to enable them to gain a broader knowledge of the law and the principles of civil society. The Contest turned out to be very popular among young people.
Narodowy Spis Powszechny Ludności i Mieszkań 2021
Najbliższy spis powszechny będzie przeprowadzony od 1 kwietnia 2021 r. do 30 czerwca 2021 r., będzie w pełni realizowany przy użyciu interaktywnego formularza spisowego dostępnego na stronie GUS. Po raz pierwszy w historii polskiej statystyki publicznej samospis internetowy będzie obowiązkowy. Oczywiście jeśli ktoś (np. ze względu na zaawansowany wiek, stan zdrowia czy niepełnosprawność) nie będzie się w stanie samospisać, pomogą mu w tym nasi rachmistrze – bezpośrednio i telefonicznie.
Competition for the best doctoral and habilitation thesis in the field of legal sciences
The director of the Institute of Justice announces a competition for the best doctoral and habilitation thesis in the field of legal sciences. The aim of the competition is to increase the interest of the academic community in legal issues. The main prize and two distinctions may be awarded in each category of the competition. The competition is open to authors of works on the basis of which they obtained the academic title of doctor or habilitated doctor in the territory of the Republic of Poland in the period from 1 January to 31 December of the calendar year preceding the date of the competition.
National Day of Remembrance of the Cursed Soldiers
“National Day of Remembrance of the Cursed Soldiers” is a tribute to the soldiers of the second conspiracy. It was them who, leaving their loved ones and all their previous lives, fought for our homeland, often shedding their blood – so that we could live in free Poland.
New term of the Scientific Council
On February 11, 2021, the Institute of Justice held a ceremonial meeting of the new term of the Scientific Council. The Scientific Council of the Institute of Justice is a decision-making, opinion-making and advisory body of the Institute in the field of its statutory activities and in matters of the development of scientific and research staff.
Final of the “153 +1” competition
On December 18, 2020, the final of the competition entitled “153 +1” took place. The event was organized by the Center for Strategic Analysis of the Institute of Justice in Warsaw. The competition was held as part of the “Cybersecurity of the Visegrad Group for the prevention of the causes of crime” project, co-financed by the Justice Fund, administered by the Minister of Justice.
Euthanasia in” law-abiding times” Scientific conference
On Wednesday, December 9, the Institute of Justice organized the National Scientific Conference “Euthanasia in” law-abiding “times”. Speakers from various academic centers undertook a scientific analysis of the phenomenon of euthanasia in an interdisciplinary and comparative perspective in relevant European Union countries. The conference was opened by the director of the Institute of Justice, Dr. Marcin Wielec, who outlined the framework for the discussion and welcomed the guests and speakers.
V4CyberPower Conference
On December 3-4, 2020, the international scientific conference V4CyberPower was held, which was organized by the Center for Strategic Analysis of the Institute of Justice and the Ministry of Justice. The event was held as part of the research project entitled “Cybersecurity of the Visegrad Group for the prevention of the causes of crime” co-financed by the Justice Fund administered by the Minister of Justice.
