On October 9, 2019 the Institute of Justice organized a scientific conference entitled “Migration and integration. The impact of migration on the increase in crime ”.The official inauguration of the conference was attended by the Minister of Justice, the Public Prosecutor General, Mr. Zbigniew Ziobro, and the Minister for Humanitarian Aid, member of the Council of Ministers, Mr. Michał Woś.

“Freedom, Religion and Sovereignty. Modern Phenomena and Future Challenges” International Scientific Conference

On September 27-28, the “Freedom, Religion and Sovereignty. Modern Phenomena and Future Challenges ” International Scientific Conference will be held. The event will be organized as part of the “For the freedom to profess religion in the modern world. Counteracting the causes of discrimination and helping the persecuted on the example of Christians” Project, the implementation of which is provided by the Center for Strategic Analysis of the Institute of Justice.


Meeting of the participants of the Law Leaders’ Lab with the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda

On September 6, 2019, participants of the Law Leaders’ Lab met at the Presidential Palace with the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda. The event was also attended by: Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Justice Dr. Marcin Romanowski, Secretary of State in the Chancellery of the President Wojciech Kolarski and director of the Institute of Justice Dr. Marcin Wielec.

 


4th Edition of Law Leaders Lab Gala

The 4th edition of the Law Leaders Lab has come to an end. At the gala ceremony, the graduates of the Program were awarded certificates by the Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Justice, Dr Marcin Romanowski, and the director of the Institute of Justice, Dr Marcin Wielec. The aim of the program is not only to transfer knowledge, but also to educate participants in leadership skills. “We educate young, ambitious Poles who will soon be responsible for the fate of our country and – which I believe – will lead our country to incredible successes” – said Deputy Minister of Justice Dr Marcin Romanowski during the gala. We would like to thank the participants of the program for the time spent together and great commitment at every stage of its implementation.


Law Leaders Workshops completes another Social Project

Law Leaders Workshops (LLW) has completed its third consecutive annual Social Project. From 13 July to 3 August, nearly one hundred volunteers took part in three 7-day tours to help Poles living in Ukraine. The Social Project forms an integral part of the educational programme Pracownia Liderów Prawa (Law Leaders Workshops) operated by the Institute of Justice under the auspices of the Minister of Justice. The Workshops bring together aspiring lawyers, both students and graduates already practising the legal profession, giving them an opportunity to develop not only theoretical but also practical knowledge of law.


Law in Action given the publication score of 40 points

We are delighted to report that Law in Action’s publication score defined in the Polish official register of academic journals has recently been amended. In consequence of this amendment, authors of all papers published in our journal will receive 40 points, which is twice as many as before!
