Interdisciplinary Summer School on Religious Freedom
On July 19-24, 2020, the Interdisciplinary Summer School on Religious Freedom will take place in Warsaw. The event will be organized as part of the “For the freedom to profess religion in the modern world. Counteracting the causes of discrimination and helping the persecuted on the example of Christians ”project, the implementation of which is conducted by the Center for Strategic Analysis of the Institute of Justice.
Competition for the best doctoral and habilitation thesis in the field of legal sciences
The director of the Institute of Justice announces a competition for the best doctoral and habilitation thesis in the field of legal sciences. The aim of the competition is to increase the interest of the academic community in legal issues. The main prize and two distinctions may be awarded in each category of the competition. The competition is open to authors of works on the basis of which they obtained the academic title of doctor or habilitated doctor in the territory of the Republic of Poland in the period from 1 January to 31 December of the calendar year preceding the date of the competition.
Meeting with Minister Michał Woś
On Saturday (December 14, 2019), during the first convention of Law Leaders’ Lab, we hosted the Minister – Member of the Council of Ministers, Michał Woś. During the meeting with the participants of Law Leaders’ Lab, our guest talked about the projects completed so far, the challenges ahead, and answered numerous questions from future law leaders.
Inauguration of the new edition of the Law Leaders Lab
On Friday (December 13, 2019), another edition of the educational program Law Leaders Lab (Pracownia Liderów Prawa) started, organized by the Institute of Justice. During the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Justice Marcin Romanowski congratulated the participants on getting into the program. The director of the Institute of Justice Dr. Marcin Wielec, encouraged them to be as active as possible in the Laboratory.
“Development of the Justice System. Law, economy and technology for preventing the causes of crime ” International Scientific Conference
On December 5, 2019, an international scientific conference “Development of the Justice System. Law, economy and technology for preventing the causes of crime ” took place under the honorary patronage of the Minister of Justice Zbigniew Ziobro. The event was organized by the Institute of Justice and the College of Criminology and Penitentiary Studies in Warsaw.
IV National Family Law Seminar “Family judiciary. Idea – practice – challenges “
On December 3, 2019, the 4th National Seminar on Family Law “Family Judiciary. Idea – practice – challenges” took place. The subject of the discussion was, first of all, the most important current problems of family judiciary. Postulates were formulated aimed at achieving an optimal model of the mentioned judiciary, concerning, inter alia, the specifics of the work of a family judge, subsidiary bodies of a family court, procedural and substantive issues.
„Freedom, Religion and Sovereignty. Modern Phenomena and Future Challenges” International Scientific Conference
On September 27-28, 2019, the “Freedom, Religion and Sovereignty. Modern Phenomena and Future Challenges” International Scientific Conference took place at the headquarters of the Institute of Justice. The conference was organized by the Institute of Justice as part of the research project entitled “For the freedom to profess religion in the modern world. Counteracting the causes of discrimination and helping the persecuted on the example of Christians”, the implementation of which is provided by the Center for Strategic Analysis of the Institute of Justice. It was attended by outstanding experts, both from Poland and abroad specializing in issues related to religious freedom and freedom of speech, as well as the issues of sovereignty.
